Billing
Payments and gateway
How online payments are processed in Inspow and what happens to the invoice depending on the result.
Your clients pay the Invoices for their Subscriptions online through the payment gateway. Each invoice has a payment reference that links the transactions to it.
Payment gateway
Section titled “Payment gateway”Inspow works with Wompi (and has an integration with Bold). The gateway, its keys and the currency (COP or USD) are configured by the Inspow team for your organization. When it is active, every pending invoice shows Pay with Wompi (for your team) and Pay Now (for the client, from their account).
When they finish, the client returns to Inspow, to a page with the result of the payment.
Payment methods
Section titled “Payment methods”The method the client used is recorded in the transaction: type (card, PSE, Nequi…), brand, last four digits and number of installments, when the gateway provides them.
Transaction reconciliation
Section titled “Transaction reconciliation”Reconciliation is automatic: the gateway notifies Inspow of the result of each transaction through a signed webhook; Inspow verifies the signature and rejects any notice without a valid signature.
| Transaction status | What happens to the invoice |
|---|---|
| APPROVED | It moves to Paid, the payment date is recorded and, if it is the first payment, the subscription is activated. The client receives the confirmation. |
| PENDING | The attempt is recorded; the invoice stays pending. |
| DECLINED | It moves to Failed. |
| VOIDED | It goes back to Pending. |
| ERROR | It is only recorded; the invoice doesn’t change. |
All attempts are recorded in the invoice’s Activity Timeline.
Declined payments
Section titled “Declined payments”Suspending or reactivating a subscription for non-payment is your team’s decision (from Manage subscriptions); Inspow doesn’t suspend it on its own.
