Ingredients

Manage the ingredient catalog with its category, unit, price, supplier and SKU.

Ingredients are your Organization’s catalog of supplies: each one is a raw material that you later combine in your recipes. With its price, Inspow estimates the cost of each recipe and of your purchase list. They are in the Ingredients menu.

List of ingredients with name, category, unit, price, SKU, supplier and minimum stock

Each ingredient stores:

  • Name (required and unique in your Organization) and Description.
  • Category and Default unit (see below).
  • Price per unit: the one the cost calculation uses. It must correspond to the default unit (for example, price per kilogram).
  • SKU: a unique code. If you leave it empty, it is generated automatically (ING- + a prefix based on the category + an identifier).
  • Supplier, Minimum stock (a reference value) and Notes.
  • Active: inactive ingredients are kept in the catalog.
